Event description

Frank DiBussolo’s Jazz Connection Series brings a rotating lineup of jazz artists to Godfrey Daniels. Led by acclaimed jazz guitarist and educator Frank DiBussolo, each performance highlights unique collaborations and fresh interpretations, all in the intimate atmosphere of Bethlehem’s premier Live Music Listening Room.

September features Madelyn Dundon, a classically trained vocalist with a preferred song genre of American Mid-Century Jazz, with an extensive study of the Great American Songbook. Joining DiBussolo and Dundon will be George Torrella on drums, and bass player Phil Bonnanni, of the Dr. Doctor Tri

Frank DiBussolo has been a professional musician since 1965. During this time he has worked with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Diane Carroll, Vicky Carr, Bob Hope, George Burns and Dom DeLouise and others. As a soloist he has been featured with the bands of Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Lester Lannin and more. He is a graduate of Widener University and the Combs College of Music where he earned the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. He has served on the faculties of Swarthmore College, Moravian College, Lehigh University and the Combs College of Music. Dr. DiBussolo has recorded extensively and can be heard on the Naxos, DBK and Lost World record labels. For his work in the recording industry, he has been nominated eight times for The Grammy Award in various catagories. He is published in Guitar Player , The Educator and Just Jazz Guitar magazines as well as in the Groves Dictionary.



MADELYN DUNDON

Madelyn Dundon is an actress, singer, dancer, and archivist. Her vintage style, temperate voice, and eloquent range are reminiscent of a timeless era, spotlighting melodies of the Great American Songbook and memories of stylized greats in the musical developments of the twentieth century.

Madelyn Dundon is a trained actress, classical ballet dancer, and vocalist. Miss Dundon began her vocal training under Lou Lanza at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, where she studied music theory, classical voice, and jazz vocals.

Her film work includes five feature films to date, multiple commercials, and short films. She plays the lead role in the following feature films with nationwide theatrical releases: Daniel Roebuck's Getting Grace (2018) and Lucky Louie (2023), Stevan Mena's The Ruse (2025), and the upcoming true story of Hazel (2025), from Canticle Productions. Miss Dundon was awarded Best Actress at the Northeast Film Festival for her performance as Grace in Getting Grace (2018). 

​Miss Dundon performs and records as a solo artist, as well as with incomparable pianist Matt Asti in the duo, Two for Tea, and is signed with record label Satsuma Collective

Having studied privately under Laura Knoop Very while attending West Virginia University on a full fine arts scholarship, Miss Dundon's classical repertoire includes the French art songs of Mozart, Erik Satie, and Claude Debussy.

 Although her technique is classically-based, Miss Dundon's preferred genre of song has always been American Mid-Century Jazz. Her study and practice of the Great American Songbook - in its entirety -  has been amongst her most cherished artistic endeavors. Miss Dundon aspires to utilize her passion for history, storytelling, and music, showcasing the romantic remnants of the last century to audiences alike.
