Frank DiBussolo’s Jazz Connection Series – A Rotating Showcase of Jazz Artists; Featuring GRAMMY-nominated Jazz Artists Duetto

Frank DiBussolo’s Jazz Connection Series returns with a standout collaboration between Both GRAMMY-nominated artists Soprano Jacqueline Ballarin and guitarist Dr. Frank DiBussolo, called Duetto.

The duo has been performing together across the country for more than a decade. Past appearances include New York City’s longest-running cabaret Theater, The Duplex, Lehigh Valley’s WFMZ-TV Music Mondays, and numerous American Songbook showcases. Joining them is extraordinary Bassist Vince Fay, whose Broadway credits include: School of Rock – The Musical, Catch Me If You Can, Footloose, King David, Grease, Metro and as top session bassist he is featured on many hit records. Blending Ballarin’s luminous voice with DiBussolo’s masterful jazz guitar and Fay’s dynamic bass, the trio brings audiences a performance of beloved standards, cabaret gems, and inspired musical storytelling.

Frank DiBussolo has been a professional musician since 1965. During this time he has worked with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Diane Carroll, Vicky Carr, Bob Hope, George Burns and Dom DeLouise and others. As a soloist he has been featured with the bands of Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Lester Lannin and more. He is a graduate of Widener University and the Combs College of Music where he earned the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. He has served on the faculties of Swarthmore College, Moravian College, Lehigh University and the Combs College of Music. Dr. DiBussolo has recorded extensively and can be heard on the Naxos, DBK and Lost World record labels. For his work in the recording industry, he has been nominated eight times for The Grammy Award in various catagories. He is published in Guitar Player , The Educator and Just Jazz Guitar magazines as well as in the Groves Dictionary.

Jacqueline Ballarin is a GRAMMY-nominated music educator, Master technician and seasoned vocal artist whose career spans more than two decades of performance, teaching, and artistic leadership. Jacqueline is a genre-defying performer whose career spans opera, concert, cabaret, and crossover performance. Trained by some of the world’s most respected teachers, coaches, and conductors, she has appeared throughout the United States and internationally in leading lyric and spinto roles, including Adriana Lecouvreur, Tosca, Aida, Mimì/Musetta (La Bohème), Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Elisabetta (Don Carlo), and Madama Butterfly.


Her performances range from intimate venues to audiences exceeding 25,000. Notable stages include Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (Bruno Walter Auditorium), Madison Square Garden, The Mann Music Center, and New York City’s longest-standing cabaret theater, The Duplex. She has been featured with organizations such as The Sergio Franchi Music Foundation and The Mario Lanza Society of New York, and has appeared in festivals including Utah Festival Opera, Hamptons Opera, and Musikfest.
