Free Clothes Swap at The Eco Living Centre, Wyndham Vale and introduction to recycling textiles, fashion design

On Saturday 19th October workshop, we learn to recycle textiles to make natural things for use around the home and an introduction to fashion designing. This will be on from 2 to 3 pm and a free clothes swap 3 to 4pm. Make sure to bring 3 to 5 pieces of clean clothing to swap.

Reduce plastic use and polyester in the home with natural textile items. An introduction on some things that can be made to make for the home as well as an the introduction to fashion design workshops we have. We will learn different methods of fashion designing from researching, sketching ideas, to ‘modelling’, using recycled fabrics and clothing.

This is also an introduction to our Creative Upcycle Fashion Design, 8 week course starting Thursday October 26th to December 12th from 6 to 8pm. We learn to fashion design with sketch pad and fabric modelling, to make clothing that fits you. No previous sewing experience needed. We will sew by hand so all have the opportunity to continue working on projects from home.

The Creative Upcycle Fashion Design workshop are only $200 for all 8 weeks. Materials provided or bring your own if you have a project you want to finish. A great opportunity to make yourself something beautiful for Christmas or make gifts for friends x

For those living further away or just cant get out to Wyndham Vale we are also having our 'Reduce Plastic on your foods, save money with our textile recycle workshops- making things for the home from natural materials' This will be things like, Beeswax Food Wraps, Cotton Dishcloths, Table Mats, Pot Stands, Iron Board Covers etc. Only works out to be $15 a 2 hour session so for the 8 week course of only $120 !  Starting Tuesday October 24th to December 10th from 6 to 8pm. The Free Clothes Swap at The Eco Living Centre, Wyndham Vale is on Saturday 19th October is from 3 to 4pm. Please bring 3 to 5 pieces of clean clothing. If you have old cotton t-shirts and bed lining of good quality please bring along too.

Attendees at the workshop before, from 2 to 3pm get first choice of the clothes swap.
