Free Compost Event - November 2024

Get ready to grab your free compost made from material collected by the City of Greater Bendigo’s kerbside organics collection service. 

Compost made from Greater Bendigo’s kerbside organics collection will be available for free on Saturday November 16, 2024. 

Registrations are essential and must be made by Friday November 15 (unless fully booked prior). 

Small, 6x4 household trailer-size loads and prebagged compost will be available for collection from the City of Greater Bendigo’s Depot in Golden Square, entry via Thistle Street. Collections will be contactless, and your details will be confirmed when you enter. You must have your booking details ready to show City of Greater Bendigo staff at the entry gate, and you must remain in your car while your trailer is loaded. Please bring a tarp to cover your trailer. 

There is a limited amount of compost available, so book early and be prepared to queue while trailers are loaded on the day. 

Eligibility: 

Strict limits of 1 registration per household apply. Multiple or duplicate registrations will be cancelled and reallocated. 

Only City of Greater Bendigo residents can register for this event. You will be required to provide your address during the registration process. 

Residents with an exemption from the kerbside organics collection service are not eligible for this event. If registered, tickets will be cancelled and reallocated.
