FREE EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH with AMY MENG ARTIST IN RESIDENCE @ THE F PROJECT
Event description
Amy Meng from Sydney, a textile artist and artist in residence at the F Project would love to meet up with young people and share some skills.
In many cultures, embroidery has functioned as a narrative device before the invention of written language. This embroidery workshop will be a casual stitching session and a safe space for youth to freely express themselves.
Bring a project you are working on or start from scratch by learning basic stitches such as the straight stitch, satin stitch, feather stitch, French knots etc. All experience levels are welcome.
Free workshop. Materials provided. Bookings essential
