Prep Your Kit - School Holiday Fun!

Looking for something a little different and genuinely useful to do these school holidays? Come along to our Prep Your Kit Workshop at Varsity Lakes Community Resource Centre for an afternoon of food, fun, and practical activities for all ages.

Bring the kids, bring a friend, or just come along yourself. Everyone is welcome.

We’ll kick things off with a sausage sizzle before exploring a range of hands-on stations where you can build your own emergency kit, meet emergency services and learn simple ways to be better prepared.

Children will love the Red Cross Pillowcase Workshop, a creative and engaging activity where they can decorate their own pillowcase while learning what to pack in an emergency. Miss Bella will also be running a fun and creative superhero craft station, encouraging kids to discover the superhero within. There’ll also be a jumping castle to help keep the kids entertained.

Plus, we’ll have a free ice cream truck, with free ice creams available for the first 100 people who register on the day.

Adults can pick up helpful tips along the way, with local experts sharing quick, practical advice on things like car checks, storm safety, and preparing for unexpected events.

It’s a relaxed, welcoming community afternoon where you can spend time together, connect with others, and leave feeling more confident and prepared.
