There’s something truly magic about dancing on a Friday. It’s the perfect way to shake off the week, release tension, lift your mood, and arrive fully present in your body. When you let your body flow freely, you create space for joy, renewal, and fresh energy

Picture lush beats, playful rhythms, and uninhibited movement in a safe, supportive space where you can express yourself without judgment. Whether you feel like grooving wildly or gently stretching into ease, this dance is about celebration—letting go of stress and welcoming the vibrancy of spring.

Come as you are, bring your friends, and get ready to reset your energy and refresh your spirit. Let’s dance into the weekend with open hearts and open bodies—ready for whatever adventure lies ahead!

Expect a rich Spring inspired playlist that will guide you to expand into rebirth. Join us on the dance floor for a journey through eclectic EDM realms, weaving together temple step, ethno-electronica, organic house, downtempo grooves, melodic techno, lush bass, and drum & bass beats…ending with a live hand pan infused integration journey.

Arrive: at 6,50 for a 7pm start
Bring: a water bottle, and a yoga mat, blanket

This dance is an alcohol-free event / LGBTQI friendly / 18+ event
Once the music has begun, we encourage you to keep talking to a minimum so that everyone can enjoy the embodiment!

ABOUT US:
The Canberra Ecstatic Dance Collective monthly dance offering is a safe and supportive space to express, release, and experience joy through movement.
Each dance has a different theme and a different facilitator, BUT every dance will be a safe space to explore movement within a dynamic dance community.

MORE ABOUT THE DANCE:
These dances are lovingly curated to take you on a journey which peaks and brings you gently back down again. The purpose of this dance is to simply let go and let your body move you.

You may find yourself focusing on one part of your body, wanting to connect your body with the floor, or dance with another person (consensually!) You may wish to sit out or lie down and rest. You may feel emotion moving through you.

Whatever is intrinsically and authentically emerging from within is what we are opening up to and creating space for. Uninhibited movement is encouraged, whilst being respectful of others in the space.
