Ready to step into something new? Join the awesome team from the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre (MERC) for an unforgettable day on the water! Whether this is your first time in a kayak or you're keen to try the excitement of a giant stand-up paddleboard, this hands-on experience will have you learning essential paddling skills, building confidence on the water, and exploring the coastline from a whole new perspective.

With plenty of fun challenges and guided activities, you'll put your new skills into action as you paddle as a team, learn about water safety, and connect with the incredible marine environment around you. The giant stand-up paddleboard is all about teamwork, communication, and having a laugh together, while kayaking offers the chance to develop your paddling skills and enjoy an adventure on the water.

Important Notes

➜ 🚸 Suitable for all ages. Children under 15 must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.

➜ 🌊 Participants should be comfortable around water. No previous kayaking or paddleboarding experience is required.

➜ 🦺 MERC will provide all activity equipment and compulsory safety gear, including life jackets.

➜ ⚠️ On the day of the event, all participants (or their guardians) must sign risk disclosures before taking part.

➜ 🌧️ This event is weather permitting and may be postponed or cancelled if water or weather conditions are unsuitable.

What should you bring?
