People with disability can be more vulnerable to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

However, NDIS providers can take measures to protect them. This is known as ‘safeguarding’.

This free 1.5 hour online training will help people who people who work with NDIS participants to:

• Understand what safeguarding is

• Understand their role in protecting NDIS participants

• Apply practical measures that will keep clients safer

The session will apply the Building Blocks of Safeguarding Culture to provide an easy way to approach safeguarding in the NDIS.

This session is part of a larger project ‘Compliance and Beyond – Safeguarding people with disability for NDIS workers and providers’ which is funded by the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Grants Program, and delivered by Micah Projects in partnership with BBSafe.
