Free School Holiday Activity: From Country to Card

During the Term 3 school holidays, families are invited to drop in and enjoy a free self-guided activity at Once Known.

Children are invited to get creative and make their own greeting card, modelled on natural materials and their shapes, lines, patterns and textures. Using what they see, children will then stamp their own nature-inspired design onto a greeting card, inspired by nature.

Suitable for all ages, with parental supervision required. Participation is free and all materials are included. Walk-ins welcome (registration optional).

Location: Once Known at Old Perth Boys’ School; Curtin 139 St Georges Terrace, Perth

*Please note that the venue is closed on Wednesdays, public holidays, and weekends.

Once Known at the Old Perth Boys’ School presents reproductions of the delicate and culturally significant artworks created by Aboriginal children forcibly taken from their families and detained at the Carrolup Native Settlement in the 1940s. Lost overseas for over 60 years, the artworks came home to Noongar Boodja, providing the opportunity for sharing truth, healing, and reconciliation.
