FREE Sunrise Photography Workshop with Mackay Camera Group Inc. | Blacks Beach | Sunday 28th April 

Join Mackay Camera Group Inc. for a sunrise photography session at Blacks Beach on Sunday 28th April. We will meet at 5:15am so that we are set up and ready for first light and then the sunrise itself. We welcome anyone who has an interest in photography whether that be via a camera or phone - no previous experience necessary. Our group is keen to share some tips, tricks and techniques of how to capture the magic of a sunrise at Blacks Beach and connecting with each other. This will truly be a moment in time!  

People who take part in this session are also encouraged to submit their favourite picture from the morning into the 'Local Eyes Optometry Competition'. Thank you to Local Eyes Optometry who have sponsored a $250 in store voucher for the winner of this competition as judged by Mackay Camera Group Inc. More details to come on this! 

Time: 5:15am 

Location: Blacks Beach Park, Bourke Street, Blacks Beach

Please bring: your camera equipment or phone...whatever you intend to capture the sunrise with! 

Take Note: On this morning there will also be an amazing Sand Art Installation 'Connection on Country' by Leon Namai happening at Blacks Beach, where he will be capturing the sunrise and his installation on the beach. Participants in the workshop are invited to also take photos of Leon's process and installation, however please be mindful of your position and proximity as Leon will be capturing film and photography via his drone and we don't want to interfere with his process. There will also be a yoga, breathwork and meditation happening in this area during this time. Please be mindful to not detract from their practice.
