Event description

The Gift of Matariki

A time of reflection, celebration and looking forward.

Matariki is an opportunity for us to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and look towards the future. This workshop will explore how we can do this personally and as an organisation. We will explore and discuss what it means to use the wisdom and gift of Matariki to bring change and growth within our organisations.

The workshop looks at 3 themes of Matariki (remembrance, celebration and looking to the future) in which we take some time to personally reflect upon. We will think about how we can use these 3 themes to enhance the teams we work in and create greater partnership between Māori/Pākeha/others. We discuss the values associated with Matariki and think about where these may or may not be shown in our organisations. We go on to look at the future and explore questions such as:

- How do we build authentic and equitable partnerships?

- How do we know hopes/aspirations of our organisation are mutually beneficial for Māori/Pākeha and others?

There is plenty of opportunity for discussion and learning from others in the workshop.
