Event description

Visit the wonderful coloured world of local artist Kurt Bosecke and his mentor Sabrina Sterk — where the theme Flow has inspired a series of works on paper and reclaimed chairs. Immerse yourself in a rich visual narrative based around nature and the health of our local waterways with a particular focus on our Karra Wirra Pari (River Torrens).

Held at EST (Emma Sadie Thomson)'s workshop space on Gillies Street, the space will host an exhibition blooming with colour and creativity, and an invitation is open for all to sit down with a cuppa and join us in a conversation based on the condition of the Torrens River with Kurt and River Scientist friend of the Festival.

Workshop participants are invited to colour a pot along with Kurt while we talk about all things rivers, with the intention of us forming a thriving garden of ideas that you will take out into the world.

Participants will receive a pot to decorate with river motifs while we chat and learn about the river.

Kurt's surrounding exhibition will supply inspiration and context to the workshop.

Workshop 11am - 12.30pm, with an invitation to stay and chat or draw without hosts until close (3.30pm).

Participants will receive a pot to decorate with river motifs while we chat and learn about the river.

Kurt's surrounding exhibition will supply inspiration and context to the workshop.

Materials supplied.

Appropriate for all ages.

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Exhibition and tea service will remain open until 3.30pm - so feel free to stay back or drop in.
