Event description

Welcome to Freedom Flow Dance! Here, we believe that dance is not just about movement, but about letting go and embracing the pure joy that comes with it. Our events are designed to help you unleash your inner dancer while getting fit.

We create a safe, welcoming space where you can express yourself freely, connect with your body, and find your rhythm. Whether you're 18 or 78, our classes are tailored to meet you where you are, encouraging you to move in ways that feel good and natural to you.

Freedom Flow has been carefully crafted to help you leave your nerves at the door, drop out of your mind and experience the pure joy and freedom of reconnecting with your body.

This class is designed around the dancing! After a warm-up, we'll get straight into it and dance!

You will get to shake your booty to a specially curated pre-recorded DJ set blending a wide range of world dance music.

Numbers are limited to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment, with plenty of space to move.

This in-person gathering takes place on the beautiful Chambers Island on the Maroochy River surrounded by nature.

Join us to experience the freedom of dance and the happiness and creativity that comes from truly letting go. Let's dance together, find joy in every step, and celebrate the beautiful, moving art of being ourselves.

The Music

Expect a unique blend of genres from tribal, funk, soulful house and electronic to softer and more gentle rhythms... and everything in between! Each dance is curated to take you on a journey, allowing you to reconnect with your body. The invitation is to allow the music to move YOU. There are no moves to learn, nothing to do other than show up as yourself and move in any way that feels good.

Important Information

Please bring a water bottle and dress ready to move.

You are welcome to hang around and chat after the class.

About your facilitator, Josh Green

Dance has been a lifelong journey for Josh, beginning at the age of four in the rigorous yet graceful world of ballet. Growing up in his mother's ballet school, Josh developed a strong foundation that has since evolved, spanning diverse styles including the dynamic beats of hip hop and the passionate expressions of Latin dance.

Josh's artistic path took a vibrant turn during his years as a DJ in London, UK. He had the privilege of spinning tracks at some of the city's coolest clubs and bars, where he honed his ability to create electrifying atmospheres and connect with audiences through music. This experience as a DJ deepened Josh's understanding of rhythm and movement, enhancing his approach to dance.

Now, as an Ecstatic Dance facilitator, Josh brings together his extensive dance background and DJ expertise to craft immersive and transformative dance experiences. Josh is dedicated to facilitating high-vibrational experiences that allow you to explore, express, and elevate your being through the power of dance. His classes are more than just movement; they are a gateway to connecting to your universe on a deeper, more grounded and intuitive level.
