Did you know the impact of the COVID-19 lockdowns, and recessions, have seen an unprecedented rise in exposing the vulnerable and marginalised to the risks of modern slavery? The crimes of human trafficking, slavery, forced marriages, the exploitation of children and debt bondage are all occurring today, this hour, this minute. “Modern slavery” is a process of enslaving people, coercing them into a situation with no way out, and exploiting them. It’s an industry worth more than $150 billion and is the second largest criminal enterprise in the world. Sydney based advocate of anti-human trafficking, Freedom for Humanity is leading the fight. Founded 5 years ago by a group of dedicated volunteers, their purpose is to raise funds to fight modern slavery both in Australia and overseas. The organisation aims to help rescue more victims and implement prevention strategies to create change for the better and have organised a global online summit, ‘End Human Trafficking’ next May to bring awareness amongst our western community to eliminate the horror of modern slavery.

Some Of The Horrifying Statistics:

40.3 million people are victims of modern slavery
9 million people were in forced labour
8 million people in forced sexual exploitation
1 out of 4 victims are children

Key Purpose:

To educate and influence consumers; professionals in CSR, legal and HR positions; politicians; and other influential people in Western countries, i.e. the USA, to take a stand against Modern Slavery.
To be a self-funding event with all profits going to support rescuing victims and providing study grants for survivors of modern slavery in USA and Australia.

The event will include speeches from a range of experts with different perspectives on human trafficking, a live auction, swag bag, fundraising and more!
Don’t miss out on this important opportunity to be part of the discussion. It’s in our hands to free the world of modern slavery. Will you join us? Let’s end human trafficking!

About Freedom For Humanity

Freedom For Humanity is working with businesses and governments to end modern slavery. Founded by a group of volunteers in 2017, our purpose is to raise funds to fight Modern Slavery both in Australia and overseas. We aim to contribute directly to organisations at the coal face that achieve results in freeing innocent people from the tyranny of slavery. Our core goal is to bring together the people who can make Modern Slavery a thing of the past: Working with organisations that rescue and support those still in slavery; Raising funds to empower rescued slaves with education and job slavery; Partnering with corporations who can ensure that Modern Slavery is removed from the supply chains; Promoting Australia's success with the Modern Slavery Act; Raising awareness around the globe to inspire global action against Modern Slavery.
