The solar plexus chakra is the home of the divine masculine energy within us all — the part of us that is focused, grounded and empowered. It is the energy that helps us speak our truth, create healthy boundaries, and move through life with clarity, courage and purpose.

When the solar plexus chakra is in balance, we trust ourselves deeply. We know the direction we are meant to take, and we have the strength, discipline and confidence to follow it. We stop seeking approval outside ourselves and begin walking our own authentic path.

Known as Manipura in Sanskrit, meaning lustrous gem, the solar plexus chakra is located between the navel and the base of the sternum, around the diaphragm area. It is the energetic centre of personal power, vitality and will. When activated, this fiery chakra ignites our inner drive and awakens a powerful sense of purpose within us.

As you dance the solar plexus chakra, you will awaken your inner fire and reconnect with the strength that already lives within you. Through movement, music and expression, you will release self-doubt, clear what no longer serves you, and step forwards with greater confidence, courage and authenticity.

In Chakradance™, we dance barefoot and with eyes gently covered using darkness or eye masks, allowing you to turn inward and connect more deeply with your inner world and the wisdom of your body.
