French Language Cafe
Event description
Welcome to the French Language Café!
Come join us at the activity room in Marino Community Hall for a fun and interactive way to practice your French. Whether you’re just starting out or already fluent, this event is for anyone who wants to improve their French in a relaxed and friendly setting.
How It Works
I send out the practice sheet a week in advance to your email. On the day, we usually split into two groups:
Beginners: Guided by a teacher who makes learning easy and enjoyable.
Advanced: Led by a native French speaker for lively discussion and deeper conversation.
Our sessions are friendly, supportive, and filled with plenty of laughter and French smiles!
Food & Atmosphere
Meet new frenchies, share some delicious French-inspired treats, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the language. As organiser (and a Mediterranean foodie!), I express my love through food—so it’s always a joy to feed you. Please join us for a bite if you can, but never feel obliged. Still, sharing food helps keep our café sustainable and truly adds to the warmth of the gathering—so if you can, we’d love you to take part.
Contributions & Giving Back
We don’t take payments in advance, but letting us know if you’re coming—and if you’ll be sharing food—helps us plan. We’re so grateful for your collaboration. On the day, we ask for a small contribution $7
$5 to help cover organisation & teaching expenses
$2 to cover the venue hire
👉 If 20 people come, all costs are covered.👉 If fewer come, food helps balance the expenses.👉 If more come, the extra goes towards the next session.
Whenever we make a profit from food, we send it directly to support three Syrian families. So every croissant, smile, and chat helps make a difference.
Don’t miss this chance to brush up on your French and share food and laughter.
