Freshwater Brewing Presents - The Slims & Silky Roads

Freshwater Brewing Company is super excited to showcase a couple of our favourite local bands at our Brookvale Taproom on the 16th of December. Kicking off at 8pm and with a complimentary schooner with every ticket, what's not to love?!

Found somewhere between the reverb-soaked guitar sounds of The Shadows and the vast and evocative spirit of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns, The Slims transpose the adventures of a western gunslinger onto the city’s urban landscape.

Exploring themes of youth and societal pressures in an age of expectation, their 2022 release ‘Crooks’ came as a surprise to many with its uncanny blend of psychedelia and Americana, standing alone in the sonic soundscape of Sydney.

Alongside The Slims are Silky Roads, who after experiencing immediate success with the release of their first track, have been committed to reinventing and refining their sound. Silky Roads have crafted a mesmerising musical style - a unique blend of laid-back vibes and irresistible energy. Born from a shared love of the 70s, the groove-centric band blends the old and the new to produce a funky slow-burn style and infectious rhythm that captivates both the heart and the feet.
