Thank you for registering for DEF CON 34 Workshops - @EventName !

We're excited to have you join us! Some items of note:

You MUST have your DEF CON badge prior to entering the classroom!
Bring your QR code for the easiest checkin experience.
Workshops are being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center WEST HALL.
Classes will start at the time specified. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may be turned away. Plan accordingly.

Please see the instructor provided PRE-REQUISITES for the Workshop:

Please do this BEFORE you arrive. It's the difference between hunting in the room and troubleshooting your laptop:

1. Have Python 3.8 or newer installed.

2. Install the framework: pip install agentic-threat-hunting-framework (can be done in class if needed)

3. Have ONE working LLM API key — OpenAI or Anthropic. Please set this up before you arrive; it's the one prereq we can't fix for you in the room.

4. Have a text editor/IDE and a web browser.

5. Run the pre-flight validator we ship in your pre-arrival email. It prints a green checklist when you're ready.

A short pre-read (about 10 minutes) on the five levels of agentic hunting comes with your pre-work. Skim it and you'll be oriented for day one.

Prereqs in plain terms: you should be comfortable reading and writing basic Splunk SPL. You do NOT need any prior AI or agent experience; that's what this course is for.
