A night of Funk music and Burlesque acts
Take a fat slice of funk, a side of soul, mix in some rock, jazz and what have you got?
KashKin are looking forward to bringing their fine original funk and soul goodness to the 2021 Friday Night Live Winter Series at the MAC.
The Hobart based band have played many shows in their home State, including the Taste of Tasmania, the Great Huon Valley Festival, the Tasmanian Composers Festival, and participated in the Global Peace Concert for West Papua. As well as playing gigs on the local circuit, the band have also featured in live radio broadcasts for ABC Radio.
In addition to live performances, KashKin have enjoyed airplay nationally and internationally in the US and in Europe. This included a spot as a featured artist on BBC Radio 6’s Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show (UK) where they were on the playlist alongside artists such as James Brown, Funkadelic, Michael Jackson, Maceo Parker and others.
For this special performance the band will be featuring brand new material along with songs from their previous releases ‘Alpha’ and ‘KashKin’.
Kashkin will be enlivened with a side of Burlesque : Cabaret performances from Billie Rocka and aerial superstar Marie -Jeanne
