Event description
TGV Friday Social Group meets fortnightly at Affirmation Station (Brunswick East) and is designed for trans and gender diverse people who want to connect with other TGD people in a safe, inclusive and affirming environment. Come have a chat, build social connections and do some fun activities!
What to expect:
- The group will be facilitated by LJ (they/them), who is TGV's Peer Programs Facilitator. They will be there to guide the conversation and activities.
- We will play games/ do activities together for the first hour and then the second hour will be directed by you - it will be a chance to connect, play board games, do activities of your choice and/or arts and craft.
- We will provide free pizza. We will try to accommodate as many dietary needs as possible but cannot guarantee we can meet them all. We will provide gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and meat options.
- Register for free or just drop in.
Who is it for:
- Trans and gender diverse folk.
- The group is neurodivergent, POC, and all abilities friendly.
- Participants must be 16 years and over.
Accessibility:
- The space is wheelchair accessible.
- There are fidget toys and a seperate quiet/calm space for folks who need some downtime.
Covid Safety:
- Free N95 and K94 masks are available and wearing is encouraged - let’s keep each other safe!
- It is a well ventilated space and there is enough room to physically distance.
- Doors and windows will be opened when suitable (bring warm clothes as it can get a little chilly).
- Hand sanitizer is available.
- We have two air purifiers.
What can you do to increase COVID-19 safety at our events?
- Complete a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test prior to attending any of our events.
- Feel like you are coming down with a cold or flu? Please stay home and cancel your booking by emailing us.
- Bring your favourite mask to wear! (If wearing a mask is accessible for you)
