Friends of Aileu: Giving Circle Dinner for Aileu Resource and Training Centre

Hello friends,
Ticket sales for the successful fundraising dinner held on 17 March have now closed, but you may still make a donation via the Get Tickets button.
100% of the donation will go to the Aileu Resource and Training Centre, helping it continue valuable work in areas of training and education, including for young children, and agriculture and environmental protection and sustainability, including revitalising small natural springs which are the only source of water for many in rural Aileu.

Giving Circle Dinner for Aileu Resource and Training Centre
A pleasant autumn evening of friendship and fun
Delicious home cooked foods, fine wine and soft drinks provided

- Come early and try your hand at a game of Trugo, a unique Melbourne sport.
- Hear from Dr Martin Hall, Chief Oral Health Advisor, Dental Health Services Victoria. Martin who spoke at our first Giving Circle Dinner in 2015, will update us about how the Oral Health Program is continuing to develop in Aileu and at the national level.
Tickets $100 pp or $60 concession (ticket sales have closed, but the Donation option remains open)
All funds raised will go to our friends in Timor-Leste, the Aileu Resource and Training Centre
About the Aileu Resource and Training Centre (ARTC)
The ARTC has played a very important role in Aileu for many years, training young people in new skills and developing community capacity across in response to community needs in areas such as early childhood education, library use, computer skills, permaculture and growing vegetables and fruit, improving coffee quality, reafforestation and water source protection improving flow from local springs, annual EXPO for local culture, arts and crafts.
During the pandemic, ARTC provided vital organisation and leadership for the people of Aileu and demonstrated remarkable resilience in keeping its other activities going on limited funds during those past few difficult years.
ARTC is in need of institutional support to continue its good work and has asked Friends of Aileu for help.
