Friends of Anstey Hill Planting Day
Event description
Join the Friends of Anstey Hill for their annual planting day. A range of plants have been selected to help with and add to the diversity of flora in this new area.
Following the planting there will be a BBQ with the opportunity to chat with Friends Members and Rangers to the Park.
Bookings are required for catering purposes and to ensure we have enough equipment and plants to go around.
Accessibility:
Not suitable for wheelchairs. Participants require ah moderate level of fitness.
Who is this event for:
All ages, that are interested in spending time outdoors and volunteering in nature.
Meeting Point:
Anstey Hill Recreation Park - Friends Shed
*Carparking is available at Gate 18, 100 Range Road South, Houghton. The Friends Shed is located about 250 metres west of the Gate 18 Carpark. The planting site will be a further 1km walk from the Friends Shed. Transport to the planting site can be arranged if necessary. from Gate 18. For further information, email Friends of Anstey Hill
What to Bring:
- Enclosed shoes
- Warm clothing / sun protection
- Waterproof jacket (if rain forecast)
- Clothes suitable to get dirty
- Long trousers
- Long-sleeved shirt
- Drinking water
- Snacks
- Gardening gloves
