Take advantage of an exceptionally low tide to explore the intertidal zone with marine scientist Dr. Alecia Bellgrove (DeakinSeaweed, Deakin University).

Dr. Bellgrove will provide an introduction to what to look for, how to use ID Cards and record observations onto iNaturalist.

Holdfast Limestone Coast Inc. is a community-driven, not-for-profit organisation that brings together art, science, culture, and Traditional Owner knowledge to celebrate and care for our coast. We offer year-round workshops and events in art and science, deliver educational programs, and connect the community with marine experts to share knowledge and inspire action.

Through Friends of Seaweed, we run a hands-on citizen science project that identifies and records local algae. Donations help this work continue, adding to our knowledge, supporting conservation, and strengthening our connection to the sea.
