Dead Video Presents…

Come celebrate of the anniversary of the biggest film ever shot in Port Lyttelton. Peter Jackson’s horror-comedy The Frighteners!

Frank Bannister is a small-town "ghostbuster" conspiring with the very spirits he's supposed to be exorcising. The scam works well until a powerful spirit goes on a murderous rampage, forcing Frank to find a way to stop the diabolical ghoul.

Shot on London Street in 1995 and released to cinemas worldwide exactly thirty years ago this week, Peter Jackson’s terrific fright-fest is a great night of ghoulish fun! Lyttelton stands in for the sleepy mid-western American town of Fairwater, but you’ll totally recognise many of the locations used... and maybe even a face or two!

Starring Michael J. Fox, Trini Alvarado, John Astin, Jeffrey Combs, Peter Dobson, Dee Wallace Stone, Jake Busey, Chi McBride, Jim Fyfe and a host of local talent.
