Frocks on Bikes - A Cycle for World Menopause Day.
Event description
Help us celebrate World Menopause Day on Wednesday 18 October!
The crew from Frocks on Bikes are hosting a group ride from Wellington’s waterfront to Auntie Social in Newtown to learn and talk about menopause. Menopause champion and founder of grassroots project Menopause over Martinis* Sarah Connor will help get the conversation started. It’s a chance to be informed, understood and supported through this important stage of life.
This event is for everyone of all ages (18+) and stages. Wear whatever you feel comfortable cycling in; frocks are optional.
This is a ticketed event. Ticket includes platters of food to share at Auntie Social. Drinks are not included in the ticket price but there will be martini specials and a range of mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks to purchase.Â
Meet under the sails at Queen’s Wharf at 5.30pm for a 6pm departure by bicycle, or at Auntie Social, 4 Rintoul St from 6.30pm til about 8.30pm.
We will have guides on the ride, but let us know if you would like a buddy or help hiring a bike. If you face any barriers to being a part of this event please get in touch by emailing frocksonbikes@gmail.com.
