Frog ID Walk - Nerang National Park
Description
Join Friends of Nerang National Park for an evening of citizen science, exploring and documenting what amphibian species call Nerang National Park home. Our team leaders will guide you through the park, sharing their knowledge and experience in locating and identifying our unique native frogs. An ideal event for budding citizen scientists and wildlife enthusiasts alike, and an unmissable opportunity to help contribute to our knowledge of the wonderful diversity of species in our own backyards!
On the walk you’ll:
Listen for frog calls and explore frog habitat in Nerang National Park
Learn how to use the free FrogID app
Record frog calls and contribute observations as a citizen scientist
Find out how frog records help researchers understand local biodiversity and ecosystem health
Keep an eye out for other nocturnal wildlife out and about after dark
No experience needed, just bring your phone, suitable walking shoes, water, and a sense of adventure!
Spaces are strictly limited to 15 participants, so register early to secure your spot.
