Join Friends of D'Aguilar National Park and Friends of Parks Queensland ecologist Dr Katrin Lowe for a guided nocturnal frog monitoring walk through the subtropical rainforest of Maiala, D'Aguilar National Park, and help put local frogs on the map for FrogID Week!

Dr Katrin Lowe completed her PhD on Wallum frogs of Australia and will guide you through the rainforest after dark, teaching you how to listen for frog calls, identify frog habitat, and record your observations using the free FrogID app. Every recording you make contributes real data to researchers working to understand local biodiversity and ecosystem health across Queensland.

What we're hoping to hear (conditions permitting):
The tusked frog, pouched frog, and cascade tree frog, and whatever else the night has in store!

Every walk is different, and what we find depends on the weather, recent rainfall, and the season. No experience needed, just bring your phone, suitable walking shoes, water, and a sense of adventure!

Spaces are strictly limited to 15 participants; register early to secure your spot. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
