From Chaos to Calm: an embodied exploration of your nervous system
Description
Also running Wed 5th August - tickets for that date here!
Many of us live incredibly busy and full lives, juggling work, kids, parents, hobbies, and all the admin that goes with it all. And it can feel like we’re doomed to be a little bit stressed out all the time - just the cost of living in today’s world.
This constant state of activation is our body’s way of keeping us safe from all the perceived threats - a beautiful safety mechanism, helping us to navigate a sense of threat through physiological changes that leave us energised, quick to respond, and focused on the immediate.
However, being able to access a sense of safety, connection, curiosity and spaciousness even amidst all the swirl can make a huge difference to how we show up in the world - with others, and in ourselves. Accessing this state is not something we’re often taught, beyond vague expectations that we make sure to schedule in self-care and wellness.
This workshop offers an opportunity to learn more about your nervous system in an experiential, embodied way. You’ll build an understanding of what the nervous system is and how it works. More importantly, you’ll spend time learning to notice your own state and to build tools and habits to create more space and steadiness in your everyday life.
The skills, tools, and ideas you’ll gather in this workshop are useful for all humans - wherever you are, your nervous system is right there with you. Come learn some of the basics and start to build a relationship with your own nervous system.
Cost - $50 pp.
I offer flexible pricing though, so if your budget doesn't support the full cost of the workshop please select the pay what you can option.
Your facilitator - Becky Collett from Rehumanise
I've spent my entire life fascinated by humans and how they human, in and out of work. I believe that so many of the challenges we face today cannot be met without our systems and cultures moving towards a more equitable, collective, relational, and humble way of seeing the world.
I'm committed to exploring how I can support other people to learn and unlearn towards deeper connections, more spaciousness, wild curiosity, and the ability to sit with discomfort.
I have over a decade of experience in people leadership, qualifications in applied psychology, neuroleadership, and a huge amount of curiosity and enthusiasm for better understanding the nervous system.
I can't wait to have this conversation with you.
