BULLSH1T SAVES THE PLANET!

Introducing HUMISOIL – a breakthrough technology for treating farm and feedlot waste

SUSTAINABLE is the new PROFITABLE, and this is as true for the Wagyu industry, as any other, to secure a good future.

Dr Les Sandles – internationally renowned nutritionist and provocateur accompanies farm owner Riley Sturrock in this expose of the principles and practice behind the successful treatment of waste organic matter which transforms it into a soil fixer-upper like no other.

Done properly, this is quite literally muck turning into magic. Some of the incredible benefits – the same ones that got Dr Les and the 4Sight team excited about it – will be presented and observed, including:

✔ A massive increase in forage quality (Brix leapt from 8% to 14%)

✔ The reappearance of high-quality indigenous grass species

✔ Doubling of the farm stocking rate (and it may yet increase again)

✔ No f’n flies or typical feedlot stink (and that’s no pig flying!)

✔ How the application of Humisoil changed the weather (True) - the Bank calls this drought mitigation because the grass keeps growing.

Workshop will be in 3 parts:

Dr Les Sandles will provide some understanding of the basics behind the technology and process in which HumiSoil provides the X-factor not available elsewhere (including compost).

Riley Sturrock will share how and why they commenced the HumiSoil journey. We will get an insight into the leap of faith taken by Riley’s father Duncan – which saw them pioneer this technology at scale - and the huge benefits they reaped.

Farm tour will round out the day. Riley will show the process they use for making HumiSoil, the biological fly control method at the feed pens, and finally a pasture cruise to discuss forage responses and its effect on carrying capacity.

The workshop will include light refreshments on us.

Bring a pen, paper and an enquiring mind, and expect to have your mind blown!

A great discussion depends on you and your quality questions. Here are some questions you might ask for example:

Why is it called Humisoil?
Can bugs really make water?
What fertilisers can I replace if I make Humisoil?
What impact will this have on my livestock?
How does this help with reducing my C-footprint?
What’s the go with increasing pasture yield – how does that work?
What’s the difference between this and compost?
