From ID to impact: weed control on Country - Coonabarabran

Join our hands-on weeds workshop for LALCs and land managers—learn weed ID, control methods, biosecurity duties, and access support to manage and utilise land.

Event details:

Central West Local Land Services invites you to join us for a practical, hands-on workshop designed to support Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs), landholders, and land managers in identifying and managing priority weeds on Country.  

Who should attend: 

• LALCs, Aboriginal Landholders and Rangers.

• Land managers and community organisations.

• Government and agency staff.

What you’ll learn: 

• Identification of local priority weeds.

• Your responsibilities under the NSW Biosecurity Act (General Biosecurity Duty).

• Practical, on-ground weed management strategies.  

• Traditional land management insights.

Why attend: 

• Gain practical skills you can apply immediately.

• Strengthen your capacity to manage and protect land.

• Build relationships with Local Land Services staff.

This workshop will give you some tools to help deliver real, practical outcomes for managing your land and caring for Country.
