Description
From idea to author
Have you ever dreamed of writing a book but felt unsure where to begin? Perhaps you have an idea, a life story, a message, or knowledge from your business journey that you want to share, but the thought of actually writing a book feels overwhelming.
For founders, entrepreneurs and professionals, a book can also become a powerful tool to build credibility, share expertise and open new opportunities. But for many people, the biggest challenge is simply knowing how to start.
This is a practical and inspiring workshop designed to help you take the first real steps on your writing journey.
Led by Justine Martin, multi-award-winning author, entrepreneur, international keynote speaker and founder of Morpheus Publishing, this interactive session draws on years of real-world experience helping first-time authors transform their ideas into published books.
Justine has worked with many aspiring writers and understands the fears, doubts and questions that often stop people from getting started. In this session, she will demystify the writing and publishing process while sharing practical strategies that make writing a book feel achievable rather than intimidating.
During the workshop, you will explore:
• How to uncover and shape the story, knowledge or message you want to share
• Simple structures that make writing easier and less overwhelming
• Practical ways to overcome self-doubt and writer’s block
• How to organise your ideas into a workable manuscript
• What the publishing journey actually looks like
• The different pathways available to becoming a published author
• How a book can help build authority, share your expertise and create new opportunities
Whether you want to write a business book, memoir, novel, children’s book, or simply capture your life experiences for your family, this workshop will give you the clarity and confidence to begin.
Participants will leave the session with practical tools, writing prompts and a clearer understanding of how to move from idea to manuscript - and eventually to publication.
For Justine, Townsville holds a special place in her heart. Through Morpheus Publishing she works with a growing community of authors across the region, including several based in Townsville who are already sharing their stories with the world.
This workshop is about more than writing a book. It’s about finding your voice, sharing your ideas and giving yourself permission to tell the story that only you can tell.
If you’ve ever thought about writing a book, this workshop is the perfect place to start.
