Congratulations on submitting an application to the 2023 Great Regional City Challenge! Now that this stage is completed, it's time to turn your attention to the next stage – gaining as many votes from the community as you can.
The Great Regional City Challenge Committee and sponsor partners invite you to join with other project applicants in this unique workshop designed specifically to help make sure that you are in the best possible position to gain community support and traction for your project idea.
The evening will consist of:
- Drinks and canapes on arrival
- Hear from Cameron Adams of Wedgetail about the importance of design in gaining attention and support, as well as an introduction to Canva tools
- Take part in a workshop presented by Adam Mostogl (CEO & Chief Entrepreneur, The van Diemen Project) exploring:
- How to develop an elevator pitch for your project idea that captures people’s attention.
- How to identify who you should be communicating this to, and how to reach them.
- Tips and tools that you can access to generate interest.
Adam is passionate about embracing creative and innovative solutions to common problems, with experience across a wide variety of industry areas. As the CEO & Chief Entrepreneur of The Van Diemen Project, every single day is focused on making opportunities matter – through helping more people start businesses with confidence, supporting existing businesses to grow and be resilient in these changing times, kickstarting social enterprises, running engaging workshops and events as well as private advisory work to help larger organisations change for the better. In 2015, Adam was announced as Tasmanian Finalist for Young Australian of the Year and is a facilitator of the world's largest innovation lab for the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) as part of UNLEASH.
This event is open only to those who have submitted an application for funding from the 2023 Great Regional City Challenge.
