Te Pātaka: From Ideas to Impact
Description
Te Pātaka: From Ideas to Impact
🗓 Wed 23rd September, 2026 | ⏰ 6pm –8pm |🏠 Online - Zoom
Join us for this free Te Pātaka Kōrero online session as we explore how we can turn our voice, knowledge and ideas into action and impact.
Our speakers will share practical insights into:
How to write effective submissions and have your voice heard in decision-making spaces.
The role of advocacy in elevating Māori voices and influencing change.
Practical tips and whakaaro from the work of Hāpai Te Hauora.
How Canva and ChatGPT can be used to create engaging, useful digital resources for your marae and whānau.
We'll be joined by Jessie Witeri, Advocacy Community coordiantor from Ki Tua O Matariki, who will share her experience and whakaaro around submission writing, advocacy and elevating Māori voices through policy and decision-making.
In the second half of the session, our very own Mihi Tibble will take us through some practical and creative ways to use Canva and ChatGPT to develop resources for your marae — including creating resources around alcohol policies.
This is a relaxed, open and practical session. There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share whakaaro and kōrero with others, so bring along any burning questions or ideas you might have!
Nau mai, haere mai. Whether you're keen to strengthen your submission writing, learn more about advocacy, or want to get creative with Canva and ChatGPT, we'd love to have you join us.
Facilitators: Carly Kirby & Kelly Henare
