This workshop is delivered by Jen Leys and Alex Desebrock.
Jen Leys is a seasoned producer with a rich background in the performing arts sector. She started her career at Black Swan Theatre in Perth, and later relocated to Japan and London for significant roles. Jen holds an MA Performance & Culture from Goldsmiths College and has been instrumental in representing independent Australian choreographers. Her current role at Performing Lines WA involves producing projects and tours with West Australian Artists, showcasing her commitment to the arts and her ability to foster innovative performances.
Alex Desebrock is an artist, producer, and facilitator living in Kepa Kurl (Esperance) on Wudjari Country. She is the Artistic Director of The Cannery Arts Centre and creates thoughtful, playful arts experiences that bring children and adults into meaningful conversation. Described as "gently radical," her work uses games, participation, and creative interventions to connect people through curiosity, honesty, and imagination.
