From Past To Present

“From Past to Present' sees a unique combination of works from a wide range of musical eras. From Tallis to Bruckner, Clemens non Papa to Britten, and even Ola Gjeilo setting music to a 10th-century hymn; there is bound to be something for everyone! Through this you will get to see the beautiful contrast between different voices setting texts that revolve around the same idea. Each composer highlights their personal understanding of that text, and creates a world of sound that feels intrinsic for them and is satisfying to listen to. They reflect the era of their time, and hearing the difference between these in this concert will be an absolute joy. With our esteemed director Anita Banbury, our assistant director Cameron McConchie, and our talented organist Michael Bell, this will not be a concert to miss!”
