From Pinterest to Plan: How to Plan Your Dream Kitchen Renovation

Are you saving Pinterest boards full of kitchen inspiration, but feeling completely stuck on how to bring it to life without blowing your budget?

When planning a kitchen renovation, most homeowners focus on builder quotes or rising trade costs. But after 13 years of designing Melbourne kitchens, I see the biggest financial blowouts happen much earlier—at the drawing board.

Decisions made during the initial design phase dictate your entire budget. Without a clear spatial strategy and trade-ready specifications, costs escalate rapidly once construction begins.

Join interior designer Trish Khoury, Interior Designer & Founder (Grace Interior Designs) for From Pinterest to Plan: How to Plan Your Dream Kitchen Renovation—an intensive, 1-day design sprint that bridges the gap between your saved ideas and an actionable, interior design plan.

What We Will Cover On The Day

• Crafting Your Functional Brief: Pinpoint your non-negotiables, daily workflow needs, and peak-hour traffic bottlenecks using our structured brief framework.

• Live Layout Clinic: Bring your actual floor plan and photos! We will review your space to identify spatial bottlenecks, optimise traffic flow, and map out custom layout solutions.

• Interior Style & Material Strategy: Define your aesthetic, build a cohesive colour palette, and learn strategic finish swaps (benchtops, joinery, tiles) that deliver a luxury look without the premium price tag.

• Tactile Moodboarding & AI Visualisation: Work hands-on with real material samples and learn how to use custom AI prompts to bring your design vision to life.

• A Full Suite of Design Documents: Walk away with a complete kitchen interior design plan, a complete toolkit of quality design documents—including your Project Brief, Style & Colour Strategy, and Master Specification Schedule to complete in your own time in line with your Interior Design plan—giving you everything you need to execute your renovation with clarity and confidence.
