Locked in a state of protection and survival mode? You’re not alone.

Trauma, early life experiences, and past hurts can create patterns of protection that keep us imprisoned in experiences of fear, anxiety, and disconnection.

When you’re locked in a state of protection, you are unable to reach out or let anything in, nor experience true deep connection. You can interact and be social but it lacks authenticity, as the authentic part of you is deeply locked up and entombed in your protective patterning – there can be a deep loneliness within.

This is where we can have the withdrawing, shrinking, hiding, masquerading, pushing away, apathy, people pleasing, false bravado, arrogance, pride, need for control, overactive mental activity, and many other patterns that were the best we could do at the time to keep us ‘safe’ but are now the very things isolating and limiting us. It’s these fear-based patterns and programs of ‘protection’ that are keeping us locked in survival mode, in separation from our own source connection, and keeping us dependent and subject to external circumstances.

The GOOD NEWS! We created these patterns and programs, so we can uncreate them and choose something else.

Boundaries instead of walls.
True belonging instead of fitting in.
Intrinsic self-worth instead of external validation.
Authenticity instead of glamours and illusions.
Healthy inner coach instead of the inner critic.
Self-compassion instead of judgement.
Self-love instead of self-rejection.

Learn the fundamentals of the Polyvagal theory as well as simple somatic exercises you can practice at home. The theory and somatic practices together provide a practical framework to befriend and reprogram the nervous system. Allowing a shift from protective defensive states towards deep presence, sovereignty, intrinsic self-esteem, wholeness, authenticity and the space to connect with something much greater than ourselves.
