From side project to startup: Innovating Veterinary Medicine
Event description
Discover how a personal journey led to the creation of Hale Animal Health — and how founder Leila de Koster is transforming animal care with one of the world’s first cannabis-derived veterinary medicines.
Join us for the third IIB and BioTechNZ networking forum featuring guest speaker Leila de Koster, founder of Hale Animal Health. In her talk “From Side Project to Startup: A Journey into Veterinary Medicine,” Leila will share how a personal experience with her dog Sassy sparked the creation of a pioneering veterinary company. Hear about her transition from a different industry, the challenges of building a biotech startup, and Hale’s mission to develop one of the world’s first cannabis-derived prescription veterinary medicines.
