FSC Retirement Summit 2026

Crown Sydney
Barangaroo NSW, Australia
Add to calendar

Thu, 22 Oct, 8:15am - 11pm AEDT

Description

Retirement is not one size fits all.

Australians are living longer, working differently and approaching retirement with vastly different needs, expectations and circumstances. The challenge for the financial services industry is no longer simply helping Australians accumulate enough for retirement, but helping them navigate what comes next.

The FSC Retirement Summit brings together senior leaders from across superannuation, investment management, financial advice, platforms, technology and the broader retirement ecosystem to examine how Australia’s retirement system needs to evolve.

Held at Crown Sydney on 22 October, the Summit leverages the FSC’s unique position across the wealth ecosystem to convene the decision makers shaping retirement outcomes for millions of Australians.

Across a full day of keynotes, research, strategic discussions and practical case studies, the program will explore the forces reshaping retirement: longer lives and changing patterns of work; how Australians invest and spend through retirement; the evolving role of advice and guidance; investment strategies for greater longevity; and how technology, AI and personalisation can support better outcomes at scale.

The Summit will also examine the policy and regulatory environment shaping the next phase of the system and what delivering a quality retirement means as Australians’ needs become increasingly diverse.

With more than two million Australians expected to transition into retirement over the coming decade, the opportunity is significant. Meeting it will require new thinking across investment, product design, advice, technology, member engagement and policy.

Take advantage of exclusive Crown Sydney accommodation rates for FSC Retirement Summit attendees.

Crown Sydney is offering FSC attendees a special rate of $790 (normally $1,074) for a Deluxe King Room for stays between Wednesday 21 October and Saturday 24 October.

Closing Keynote After a day exploring the forces reshaping retirement, Richard Gerver turns the conversation to the people who will lead that change. Drawing on his experience working with leaders and organisations around the world, Richard explores how curiosity, courage and adaptability can help us challenge established thinking, navigate uncertainty and turn new possibilities into action. An energising close to the Summit, this keynote asks what it takes to lead through change while keeping people at the heart of innovation and having the confidence to shape what comes next.
