Description

Get your hands in the soil and your vision rooted in reality.

Spend three days and nights on this unique regenerative farm, learning and participating in every aspect of designing, establishing and maintaining a Syntropic Food Forest.

We will also explore purpose, communication and decision making skills so that your projects are empowered and our time together is useful and enjoyable.

Thursday, arrive late afternoon of the day before, to settle in. Enjoy the grounds, the bush and the beach.

Friday: Principles and Practices of Syntropics.

Saturday: Maintenance on an existing system. This includes an opportunity to harvest plant material for your own system.

Sunday: Food forest install day - working with abundance of plant material and see exactly how syntropic food forests come to life: optimal density, species mix, and placement.

Enjoy afternoon R&R with trips to the beach, bush walks, tool sharpening session, Banana-stem hurling competition, and seeing what Shelley and Joe have created since taking on stewardship of this farm.

Janet Redmond will bring her unique gifts and skills to nurture the sense of community that will naturally emerge over the three days.

Meals: Included in the ticket price.

Accommodation: Shelley has given us ridiculously generous prices to support the creation of a village container for this three day event. Prices listed here are the total cost for a three-night stay (Thu-Sun). All three options include access to facilities: toilets, showers, common areas, kitchen, living room, pools etc.

Stables - 2 or 3 person self-contained suites (2 suites available) $600 for each suite.
Main House - 7 rooms available. $350 for one person or $400 for two people in one room. Twin share configuration can be super king or 2 x singles.
Tent or Camper sites - $50 per person.

A collaboration purposed to grow community capacity in Northland, for establishing and evolving food producing landscapes based on Syntropic Agroforestry principles. We do this primarily through training events so more people experience the joy, connection and abundance that can come from creating, maintaining and being with these dynamic systems.
