Biotext’s Fundamentals of Data Literacy and Visualisation course is about understanding and communicating data and statistics.

Data can help us make decisions and guide change. Whether explaining jargon, introducing statistics, or writing about data and presenting your results visually, this interactive course will help you work with data. You’ll get expert instruction and learn easy-to-apply tips and tricks.

The course covers:

types of data
some basic statistics
thinking about and expressing uncertainty
the meaning of statistical significance
correlation and causation
expressing results and conclusions using words and graphs.

The course runs over 23 and 24 May 2023 (Tuesday and Wednesday):

Day 1 – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (AEST), with an hour for breaks
Day 2 – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (AEST), with an hour for breaks.
