THE FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING WITH M.E. BAIRD
Three sessions on a Saturday 10am-12pm
Week1 (Nov. 7th)
Drawing 3D objects, focusing on light, shade and composition using graphite pencil.
Week 2 (Nov. 14th)
Basic one-point perspective using graphite pencil and aqua pencil.
Week 3 (Nov. 21st)
Drawings building to explore line weight and line character using fine liner pens and aqua pencils.
Materials: Participants are to bring a basic drawing kit that includes a range of three pencils (HB. 2B. 4B), a sharpener/blade, ruler and rubber.
A basic set of Aqua Pencils. (4-6 colours). Fineliner Pens (0.4 & 0.6). Paper will be supplied.
Commencing Saturday 7th November, 2026

ABOUT M.E. BAIRD
M.E. Baird has a background in music, art, and design. His multidisciplinary approach to creativity has given him a unique set of lenses and skill base for looking at creativity and expression.
For two decades, alongside his music and art practice, M.E. Baird held sessional academic and teaching scholar roles across art, design, and architecture at various art and design schools and universities in New South Wales and Victoria. As an academic, he specifically examined creative philosophy, memory, and creative processes across various art forms, including art, design, architecture, film, music, and literature.
M.E. Baird also offers one-on-one or small-group mentoring sessions in art, design, and music.
