Event description
As part of The Funding Series, ‘Funding Fundamentals’ is a 2.5 hour workshop facilitated by funding strategist Fi McPhee and Anna Mathieson of Revolutionise. Together they will provide a practical plan for identifying funding sources, the tools you need to pursue funding and grant fund raising, exploring four key areas;
- Your Ambition, Your Why - why you need one and how to find it
- Your impact and how to start measuring it
- The Ask/Offer - and how to be brave about putting yourself out there
- The Importance of Stories - the importance of storytelling and how stories move funders
This workshop is open to anyone who relies on funding or fundraising to support their organisation, club, event or project, regardless of sector.

FACILITATORS BIO
Fi McPhee is a leading expert in fundraising strategy, culture change, and donor engagement. With 24+ years of experience, she empowers charities, small and large, to navigate the funding landscape, develop sustainable plans, and drive growth through evidence-based strategies. Fi’s workshops inspire actionable insights for lasting fundraising success. Anna Mathieson works with values-led businesses, non-profits and individuals, to help them implement strategies and initiatives which maximise positive social, environmental and economic impacts. Funding Fundamentals is the first session as part of The Funding Series, created in partnership by huddl, Three Lakes Cultural Trust, Sports Central, the Conservation Alliance and Queenstown Lakes District Council. There are four sessions as part of the series.

→ Building Good Partnerships: Corporates and Non-Profits Working Together
- 15 May, Queenstown, 9am to 12pm. This session is in collaboration with the BforGood Programme, a collaboration between the Wakatipu Community Foundation and the Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce. Spaces will be limited.
