Funding in Practice: Session 4 of the Funding Series, Wānaka
Event description
You are invited to join us for a hands-on workshop for individuals, groups and organisations who want to feel more confident and equipped when asking for funding.
Whether it’s a grant, a donation, or a corporate partnership, asking well is both an art and a science, and one that anyone can learn. This session focuses on clarity of purpose, understanding your audience, and building impactful messaging that works.
Through a mix of storytelling, practical tools, and interactive exercises, you’ll explore what makes an ask successful, why thanking is just as important as asking, and how to tailor your approach depending on who you’re speaking to. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what you need to say, who needs to hear it, and how to say it, plus a simple plan to keep building your fundraising confidence and capability.
