Event description

Looking for funding and resources to support research collaboration between Australian and Taiwanese researchers?

Join this free webinar to learn about how to participate in the international programs from NSTC.

The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is the government agency in Taiwan dedicated to promoting scientific and technological development. NSTC provides grants to support Taiwanese researchers to establish partnership with international partners, strengthen cooperative relations and network and develop research collaborations for mutual benefits.

Key NSTC initiatives include:

  • Partnership Program for the Connection to the Top Labs in the World (Dragon Gate Program, 龍門計畫) to support a team of Taiwanese researchers to go abroad and carry out research work in world-class research institutions
  • Graduate Students Study Abroad Program and Postdoctoral Research Abroad Program (千里馬計畫)

This free webinar invites Professor Ho Lin, Executive Director, Science & Technology Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Australia to provide details on the above NSTC programs. It will include a panel discussion in which successful awardees in the past rounds will share their experience and tips.

You will

  • find out the requirements and application procedures of the NSTC programs
  • learn about how to host international visitors at the University of Sydney
  • have an opportunity to network with PhD students and researchers in Australia and Taiwan for potential collaborations

This webinar will be beneficial to academics who would like to take advantage of international opportunities to develop and strengthen research collaboration between Australian and Taiwanese institutions. Professional staff involved in providing research support in the application process are also welcome.
