Fundraiser "An intimate Night with Keey N'Friends
Event description
Keey is an experienced performer, composer and entertainer that has experience in performing in things such as circus acts, running music and circus workshops, providing music for various events, such as private occasions, parties, festivals, jazz clubs, clubs, schools, public venues and events, funeral services, prize-giving ceremonies, competitions, piano affair concerts, hotels, church and mass services, and other entertainments variety acts.
He is one of the founders of a national award winning youth band, Paul’s Apostles, the members of which include: Hannah Seo, Jago Watson, Chloe Hill and Vanessa Liang. Keey is also the founder of a Youth Band “Pik N’ Mix”, that was formed specifically to play in the Blues n’ BBQ Festival in 2023, in the Youth Competition.
He already played with Sophie Maude, the Cantina Band led by Eduardo Diaz, The Low Flying Lizards, Rehaab, members from other bands including the Devil Skin, Sonorous, TBC Big Band and many more artists to mention.
Keey has also worked with people such as Geoffrey Rush, John Lithgow and Rodger Fox.
What is this For:
Keey has been selected to go and represent NZ in England, London as a part of a prestigious organisation SGCNA YSC (Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company). He is the student composer of the group that consists mainly of talented teen actors; they’ll get a chance to work and perform on the stage of the Globe Theatre, as well as experience education about Shakespeare through multiple workshops and masterclasses. The trip will cost approximately $11,000, therefore Keey has to fundraise in order to get to England.
