Join us for an evening of thought-provoking cinema and insightful discussions as we screen the remarkable documentary "Gaza Surf Club" at the Coolum Civic Centre on December 15th at 6 PM.

This documentary takes us on a journey into the lives of resilient surfers in Gaza, exploring their unwavering passion for surfing amidst the backdrop of conflict. For the Sunshine Coast's vibrant surfing community, this documentary offers a unique perspective on the transformative power of the ocean and the resilience it fosters, resonating deeply with our own coastal lifestyle.

Following the screening, we invite you to engage in a live panel discussion addressing the current situation in Gaza. Esteemed panelists, directly connected to the situation in Gaza, will share their insights and experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the people in the region.

As a community privileged with access to the ocean and a thriving surfing culture, it's crucial to recognise and amplify the voices of those whose passion for surfing persists amidst adversity. This event offers an opportunity to reflect on our own privileges and express solidarity with individuals in Gaza who find solace and freedom through the waves despite their challenging circumstances.

We've set a "pay what you can" entry fee for this event, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting efforts aimed at providing aid and assistance to the people affected in Gaza. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in supporting vital initiatives in Gaza.

This event aims to raise awareness and solidarity for the people of Gaza, offering a platform for dialogue, empathy, and understanding.

Your attendance and support contribute to our collective efforts toward building a more compassionate and informed community.

Join us on December 15th at 6 PM at the Coolum Civic Centre in support of the people in Gaza.
