Fundraising Concert for Cancer Research
Event description
We are raising funds for a novel research and trial program to develop vaccines to combat cancer being conducted here in Perth, W.A. overseen by Professor Bruce Robinson of UWA and Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital. The program is called the “ATTAC cancer vaccine program”.
The aim of the program is to develop and trial a personalized cancer vaccine that wakes up the immune system to fight only the cancer and not attack healthy body cells causing nasty side effects.
Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy and radiation treatment can damage healthy body tissue which produce unwanted side effects. The cancer vaccine only destroys the cancer cells and not healthy tissue.
This groundbreaking work needs further funding to continue. If successfully completed it could become the standard of cancer treatment for the future and benefit millions of people worldwide.
Please purchase tickets for the concert to help support this worthwhile cause. Seat numbers are limited so you will need to get in early to book your tickets.
Tickets are available to purchase online here and are priced at $30 each. Any donations towards the cause will also be greatly appreciated.
