Do you have a fascination for fungi?

Autumn is the best time to get out and about exploring the woodland floor so we have teamed up with local enthusiast Darren Gordon to get and find out more about the importance of the world beneath our feet!

Our guide is Darren, is a self-taught fungi enthusiast based in Dundee, Scotland. He first started learning through social media, finding, photographing, and discussing possible identifications on several fungi identification pages, which he now helps run.

Darren loves nature and the excitement of discovering rare, exciting, and interesting species across all different types of habitats. Recently, he gave a talk at the All Things Fungi Festival and will soon be leading a guided foray at the Edinburgh Fungi Festival.

We will meet at 9.45 at Templeton Woods Carpark, please prepare for all sorts of weather and remember that the we will be outdoors exploring for the 2 hours.
